West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi's Performance Satisfaction Hits 95.4%: LSI Survey
After 1.5 years of leadership, public satisfaction with the performance of West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi has reached 95.4%, according to the latest survey by the Indonesian Survey Institute (LSI) released in Bandung on Thursday (23/7). The majority of West Java residents gave a positive assessment of the governor’s leadership.
LSI Executive Director Djayadi Hanan explained that 39.3% of respondents stated they were very satisfied, while 56.1% admitted to being quite satisfied with Dedi Mulyadi’s performance. “The total satisfaction rate reached 95.4%,” he stated during the presentation of the Public Evaluation Survey on the Performance of the West Java Provincial Government.
Djayadi further noted that respondents who expressed dissatisfaction were recorded at only 3.3%, with those claiming to be completely dissatisfied at just 0.5%. A further 0.8% of respondents answered that they did not know or did not provide an answer. LSI concluded that the public dissatisfaction rate towards the governor’s performance was only 3.8%, far below the public satisfaction figure.
Beyond measuring satisfaction with the regional head, the survey also captured public views on economic conditions and governance in West Java. The results showed that 44.3% of respondents assessed the province’s economic condition as being in the moderate category. Public assessments stating the economic condition was either good or bad were relatively balanced.
Regarding the performance of the West Java Provincial Government, Djayadi said 60.2% of respondents rated governance as good to very good. A total of 30.4% rated it as moderate, and only 8.1% rated it as poor to very poor. LSI also recorded that all measured sectors received positive assessments from the public, with infrastructure development and basic services receiving the highest appreciation.
“The economic sector remains the main challenge for the regional government, although more than half of respondents still expressed satisfaction with the performance of the West Java Provincial Government. The survey also measured responses to several priority programmes in education, such as the New Student Admission System (SPMB) for senior high, vocational, and special needs schools, the Private School Cooperation programme (SSK), and the Maung (Superior Human) School programme,” he said.
The majority of respondents who were aware of these programmes expressed support for their implementation. However, public awareness of these various programmes is still relatively low, having not yet reached 50%. The LSI survey was conducted from 2 to 9 July 2026, involving 800 respondents proportionally distributed across all regencies and cities in West Java. The sample was drawn using a multistage random sampling method.
