West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi has stated that inter-institutional synergy with the West Java High Prosecutor’s Office (Kejati Jabar) is key to preventing irregularities from an early stage. In a statement in Bandung on Thursday, Dedi stressed that the main key to realising optimal public services is strengthening synergy and harmonisation among government institutions at all levels. "We will synergise across institutions as has been done in previous years. There will be acceleration, support and mitigation of any irregularities from the outset," said Dedi in response to the handover ceremony of the Head of the West Java High Prosecutor’s Office. Strong synergy is expected to be able to create clean and responsive governance. Sutikno officially assumed the position of Head of the West Java High Prosecutor’s Office on 29 April 2026, replacing Hermon Dekristo, who was promoted to Secretary of the Junior Attorney General for Military Crimes (Sesjampidmil). "Hopefully Mr Hermon will be a bridge for the Provincial Government to build harmonious relations between the provincial, district/city governments and the central government and with the ranks of the TNI/Polri," said Dedi Mulyadi. To support the creation of synergy that has a real impact, the Prosecutor’s Office is committed to taking a proactive role in providing regulatory oversight to the local government. "The Prosecutor’s Office will provide unsolicited legal opinions on certain matters that will have a positive impact on the local government," said Sutikno.
