West Java Governor Condemns Attack on Human Rights Activist Andri Yunus, Confident Perpetrators and Instigators Will Be Exposed
Bandung — West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi (KDM) has expressed concern over a terrorist attack on human rights activist Andri Yunus from the Commission for Missing Persons and Victims of Violence (KontraS). The Governor condemns this irresponsible act.
KDM has highlighted the alleged attack on Andri Yunus, which he considers an intimidatory action. He hopes that West Java remains safe from various forms of violence, including actions aimed at taking or injuring others for particular interests.
“As a West Java citizen, we hope West Java is free from various forms of intimidatory terror, attempts to take the lives of others, and actions to disable others with particular purposes as experienced by our brother, Bang Andri Yunus, a KontraS activist,” said KDM on Monday (16 March 2026).
KDM also emphasised the importance of upholding the rule of law in responding to the incident. He expressed his confidence that law enforcement authorities will be able to uncover both the perpetrators and those behind the attack.
“I am confident that the perpetrators of the attack and whoever ordered it will be exposed by the Indonesian National Police,” he said.
