BANDUNG — West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi has allocated IDR 6.9 billion in phased compensation to suspend minibus (angkot), traditional cart (delman), and becak services during the 2026 Eid holiday exodus and return period for one week. A total of 3,000 drivers will receive compensation.
“IDR 6.9 billion for 3,000 beneficiaries across West Java,” he stated after a police assembly at West Java Regional Police Headquarters on Thursday (12 March 2026).
He noted that minibus drivers, cart operators, and becak drivers affected by the suspension come from Garut, Cirebon, Subang, Bogor, Cianjur, Padalarang, Lembang, and Bandung city. The suspension of minibus, cart, and becak services will occur both before and after Eid.
“There are those suspended before Eid and those after Eid,” he said.
Mulyadi stated that various factors potentially causing congestion during the holiday exodus and return period have been anticipated. Compensation for minibus drivers, cart operators, and becak drivers will be distributed on Thursday (12 March 2026) evening through Friday (13 March 2026).
“All the money will be distributed this evening and completed tomorrow,” he said.
