Bandung (ANTARA) - West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi has stated that Persib Bandung’s three consecutive league titles are proof of successful professional club management without government intervention. Persib won the Super League 2025/2026, cementing their dominance after securing the same title in the previous two seasons.

“Persib has proven itself as a professional club without government interference,” Dedi said in Bandung on Sunday. “I reiterate that Persib is a professional club without government interference.”

Dedi noted that winning without government intervention demonstrates true professionalism in modern football management in Indonesia.

“Today is a joyous outpouring from all supporters, fans, Bobotoh, and Persib Bandung enthusiasts celebrating this remarkable achievement. Winning three titles in a row is truly exceptional,” he said.

He hopes all celebrations will be orderly and filled with camaraderie to present a positive image for Bandung and West Java.

“Bandung and West Java are open spaces for anyone to be happy here,” he said.

In the same statement, Dedi hinted at a bonus for the Persib squad for winning the Super League 2025/2026, though he declined to provide further details. “We’ll see,” he said.

Persib finished the Super League 2025/2026 with 79 points, level with Borneo FC, but were crowned champions due to a better head-to-head record.
