The West Java Provincial Government (Pemprov Jabar) is working to oversee the 3 Million Homes Programme to ensure it truly benefits the community. For this reason, every stage must be carried out professionally, transparently, and in favour of the people. This national strategic programme must not be solely oriented towards achieving numerical targets, but must also deliver prosperity through the provision of habitable housing for citizens in need. Therefore, the process of identifying beneficiaries, implementing construction, and conducting oversight must be carried out accountably to ensure the aid is received by those who are entitled to it. This was stated by West Java Regional Secretary Herman Suryatman during a socialization event for Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas Regulation Number 6 of 2026 concerning Home Renovation. Herman stated that the realization of the 3 Million Homes Programme is determined by the integrity of all parties involved in its implementation. “The key is that there must be no malicious intent in bringing prosperity to the people through this 3 Million Homes Programme,” Herman said in a written statement on Monday (10/8/2026). Herman said the 3 Million Homes Programme is one of President Prabowo Subianto’s priority programmes. He emphasized that all elements of the central and regional governments share the responsibility to ensure the programme runs according to its objectives. Herman also invited all local governments from the 27 attending regencies and cities to focus their attention on the implementation phase. After various regulations and preparations have been established, it is now time to ensure that execution on the ground runs effectively, is well-targeted, and meets the needs of the community. “By September 2026, we are focusing on the implementation of the construction of 3 million homes,” he concluded.
