Bandung (ANTARA) - The Chair of Commission III of the West Java Regional House of Representatives (DPRD), Jajang Rohana, has urged the Provincial Government to strengthen the ease of licensing, legal certainty, and the investment climate to maintain regional economic growth in 2026. Jajang stated that investment realisation in West Java in 2025 had exceeded the set target, so the government needs to maintain this momentum by creating a conducive investment climate to sustain economic growth. “To prevent a decline, the investment value must be increased, along with ease, certainty, and the investment climate. It must also be supported by infrastructure so that investors are willing to come to West Java,” Jajang said in Bandung on Monday. According to him, strengthening infrastructure is a crucial factor in attracting investors to place capital in West Java. Therefore, he encouraged the alignment of the education system with the needs of the business and industrial sectors. “This needs to be improved so that investment in existing sectors can accelerate in line with economic growth,” he stated. Furthermore, Jajang noted that investment in West Java is currently concentrated in the northern industrial areas. He believes the potential of the southern region also needs to be developed through infrastructure improvements, particularly for the services and tourism sectors. He expressed hope that strengthening the investment climate, coupled with equitable development, can create new economic growth centres and expand employment opportunities across various regions of West Java.
