The Chairman of Commission III of the West Java DPRD, Jajang Rohana, is encouraging the local government to utilise the school holiday momentum to boost economic growth through the tourism sector, which is considered capable of driving business activities in various tourist destinations. Jajang stated that the increase in tourist visits during the school holiday period will have a positive impact on various business sectors, from food stalls and accommodation to service providers in tourist areas. β€œYes, the tourism sector is certainly one of the drivers of regional economic improvement, especially in tourist destination areas,” Jajang said in Bandung on Monday. According to him, tourism activities not only increase economic turnover but also promote income distribution from urban centres to areas with tourism potential. In addition to promoting the tourism sector, he also urged the West Java Provincial Government to continue strengthening licensing ease, legal certainty, and the investment climate to maintain regional economic growth in 2026. He noted that investment realisation in West Java in 2025 exceeded the set target of Rp300 trillion, so this momentum must be maintained by creating a conducive investment climate. According to Jajang, strengthening infrastructure is one of the key factors in attracting investors to invest in West Java while supporting sustainable regional economic growth.
