West Java DPRD Submits Aspirations for Lifting Moratorium on Regional Division to DPD RI
Bandung (ANTARA) - Leaders and members of Commission I of the West Java DPRD have submitted community aspirations regarding the revocation of the moratorium on regional division to the Regional Representative Council (DPD RI).
Deputy Chair of Commission I of the West Java DPRD, Taufik Hidayat, along with representatives from the Coordinating Forum for Accelerating the Formation of New Autonomous Regions (Forkoda PPDOB), directly conveyed these community aspirations, accompanied by the latest data on the readiness of 10 Candidate Preparatory Autonomous Regions (CDPOB) that have already received approval from the West Java DPRD.
“Up to now, 10 CDPOB have received approval in plenary sessions, with the most recent being East Cirebon Regency,” said Taufik in a statement in Bandung on Sunday.
“The readiness scores of these regions are very good, so administratively and technically, West Java is already prepared,” stated Taufik.
He emphasised that his side will continue to coordinate with Committee I of the DPD RI as well as senators from West Java to ensure that community aspirations receive attention from the Central Government.
“We will continue to coordinate and monitor so that this regional division can be realised, allowing public services and development to run more optimally in this region with the largest population in Indonesia,” he added.
