West Java DPRD Ratifies 2025 Budget Accountability Bylaw, Governor Stresses Public Welfare

The West Java Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) has approved the Draft Regional Regulation on the Accountability for the Implementation of the 2025 Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget into a Regional Regulation (Perda). The approval was formalised during a plenary session at the DPRD building on Tuesday, 14 July 2026. “I would like to thank you for the entire series of work stages carried out by the West Java DPRD to continuously evaluate the government’s programmes so that they can run to this point,” said West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi. The governor, commonly known as KDM, stated that all suggestions, ideas, and opinions from the West Java DPRD would serve as input and evaluation regarding various shortcomings in development management. “We also express our gratitude to the West Java DPRD for understanding the condition of the West Java Provincial Government, including the current state of regional finances,” he said. He expressed hope that the Provincial Government and the West Java DPRD could move forward together. “So that in the future, financial management can run on time, be effective, and have a strong enough implication for the welfare of the community,” he said. Previously, Acting Secretary of the West Java DPRD, Iman Tohidin, read out the decision to enact the draft bylaw into a regulation, which was then signed by the leadership of the West Java DPRD and Governor Dedi Mulyadi.
