West Java DPRD Ratifies 2025 Budget Accountability Bylaw, Governor Stresses Public Welfare
The West Java Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) has approved the Draft Regional Regulation (Ranperda) of West Java Province concerning the Accountability for the Implementation of the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (P2APBD) for the 2025 fiscal year, elevating it into a Regional Regulation (Perda). The approval was set during a plenary meeting at the West Java DPRD building on Tuesday, 14 July 2026.
“I express my gratitude for the entire series of work stages carried out by the West Java Provincial DPRD in continually evaluating the government’s work programmes so that they could run up to this point,” said West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi.
The governor, who is often addressed as KDM, said that all suggestions, ideas and opinions from the West Java DPRD would serve as input and evaluation of various shortcomings in development management.
“We also thank the West Java Provincial DPRD for understanding the conditions of the West Java Provincial Government, including the current state of the region’s finances,” he said.
Therefore, he continued, both the Provincial Government and the West Java DPRD are expected to move forward together. “So that going forward, financial management runs on time and effectively, with strong implications for the welfare of the people,” he said.
Earlier, the Acting Secretary of the West Java DPRD, Iman Tohidin, read out the decision turning the draft bylaw into a regional regulation, which was then signed by the leadership of the West Java DPRD and West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi.
“Taking into account the Regional House of Representatives Regulation Meeting of West Java Province dated 14 July 2026, it has been decided to stipulate and approve the Draft Regional Regulation of West Java Province concerning the Accountability for the Implementation of the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget of West Java Province for the 2025 fiscal year, together with its annexes, to become a Regional Regulation,” he said.
