The West Java DPRD held a plenary meeting with two main agendas: the presentation of the introductory note for the Governor’s Accountability Report (LKPJ) for the 2025 Fiscal Year and the report on the results of the second recess of the 2025-2026 session, on Monday (30 March 2026).

West Java DPRD Chairman, Buky Wibawa Karya Guna, who led the meeting, explained that the agenda for presenting the introductory note for the LKPJ is a follow-up to the decision of the Advisory Board meeting on 5 January 2026.

The LKPJ document serves as the basis for evaluating the performance of the regional government (pemda) over one fiscal year. “After the presentation of the governor’s introductory note, discussions will be held at the commission level, then continued by Special Committee (Pansus) XIII,” said Buky.

He stated that the DPRD has received proposals for the names of Pansus XIII members from all factions. In fact, during a break in the plenary session, the special committee immediately held elections for its leadership.

The working period of Pansus XIII is set from 30 March to 8 May 2026. Before entering discussions at the special committee level, the DPRD will hold initial discussions in the commissions from 31 March to 2 April 2026.

“Insya Allah, on 8 May 2026, a plenary session will be held with the agenda of presenting the report of the results of Pansus XIII’s discussions on the governor’s LKPJ,” he said. In addition, the plenary session includes the agenda of presenting the report on the results of the second recess.

The recess activities were carried out from 23-27 February and 2-4 March 2026 by all West Java DPRD members to absorb public aspirations in their respective electoral districts.

Referring to West Java DPRD Regulation Number 1 of 2024, Article 149 paragraph (5), the results of the recess must be reported in the plenary session. On this occasion, the presentation of the reports was carried out by three factions, namely PKS, PDIP, and PKB.

Meanwhile, the other factions submitted their reports directly to the DPRD leadership. “All factions have submitted the second recess reports. In accordance with the provisions, the DPRD leadership will forward the recess results to the governor for follow-up,” said Buky.

This plenary session is an important part of the DPRD’s oversight function, while also ensuring that public aspirations gathered through the recess can be incorporated into the regional government’s policy planning.
