Member of Commission I of the West Java Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD), Pradi Supriatna, has affirmed that certainty in land regulations is a key factor in driving growth in the property sector while maintaining the investment climate in West Java. According to him, synergy between the government, DPRD, and business actors must be continuously strengthened so that various land issues can be resolved more quickly and fairly. Pradi stated that the property sector plays a strategic role in driving the regional economy because it can create jobs and encourage growth in various other business sectors. Therefore, regulations that provide legal certainty are a fundamental need for both developers and the public. “Land issues should not be viewed as obstacles to development. Instead, they must become a momentum to strengthen collaboration so that legal certainty emerges, providing a sense of security for investors while protecting the public interest,” said Pradi during the Regional Working Meeting of the West Java chapter of Realestat Indonesia (REI) in Bandung, Wednesday (15/7/26). Pradi said the theme of the West Java REI Regional Working Meeting, which addresses the challenges of land regulations, is highly relevant to current conditions. The dynamics of licensing, spatial utilisation suitability, and the land certification process require policy synchronisation between the central government, regional governments, and all stakeholders so that the development process can run effectively. He assessed that the West Java DPRD is ready to encourage the emergence of regulations that are adaptive to investment developments, without ignoring the principles of sustainable spatial planning and the protection of public interests. Thus, the development of residential areas can proceed in an orderly, high-quality manner and provide broad economic benefits. Pradi expressed hope that the West Java REI Regional Working Meeting would produce various applicable recommendations to answer the challenges of the property sector. “Strong collaboration between the government and business actors will be the foundation for creating a healthy investment climate while supporting sustainable development in West Java,” he said.
