West Java DPRD Commission Maps Revenue Potential for 2027 Regional Budget
West Java DPRD Commission III has stressed the importance of mapping regional revenue potential and managing public finances efficiently as it discusses the draft 2027 Regional Budget (APBD). The work needs to begin early so the regional budget can support development and benefit the public.
Commission III chairman Jajang Rohana said mapping revenue potential was a key focus of discussions with partner regional agencies. He made the remarks during a working visit to the Bekasi Regency Regional Revenue Management Centre (P3D) on Tuesday, 27 October 2026.
“This working visit and discussions with our partners are crucial to accurately map regional revenue potential, improve the efficiency of financial and asset management, and develop strategies to increase investment,” Jajang said.
He said the 2027 budget should be drawn up effectively and accountably, taking West Java’s development needs into consideration. Commission III is therefore seeking to oversee the budgeting process so that planned programmes can be implemented effectively.
Jajang added that field inspections and discussions with regional government agencies (OPD) were part of efforts to optimise regional budget management. He said transparency and accountability should be priorities in both the preparation and implementation of the APBD.
“This is an effort to optimise the preparation of a transparent and accountable regional budget,” he said.
Through the discussions, Jajang said, Commission III was encouraging revenue planning, financial and asset management, and investment strategies to be aligned with regional development needs in the 2027 APBD.
The working visit was followed by a meeting with several agencies within the West Java Provincial Government. The agenda formed part of discussions on the draft regional regulation for the West Java Provincial Budget for the 2027 fiscal year.
The agencies involved included the Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Office (DPMPTSP), the Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda), the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD), and the Provincial Secretariat’s Bureau of Regional-Owned Enterprises, Investment and Development Administration.
