West Java DPRD Commission IV Monitors Eid Exodus Preparedness in Garut
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, GARUT – Commission IV of the West Java DPRD carried out direct monitoring of the preparations for the Lebaran 1447 Hijriah/2026 exodus flow at the Cihuni Post, Garut Regency, on Tuesday (17/3/2026). This oversight highlights the readiness of the West Java Transportation Agency (Dishub) in ensuring the smooth and safe movement of holiday travellers.
Chair of Commission IV of the West Java DPRD, Rizaldy Danar Priambodo, stated that Dishub has a strategic role in managing the exodus flow, particularly on routes prone to congestion. Therefore, the readiness of infrastructure to support facilities at the post becomes a primary concern.
“Today, we are directly reviewing the readiness of the mudik security post. Overall, the West Java Provincial Government, together with Dishub and the West Java Police, have prepared well, from the mudik routes to facilities at the post, including the readiness of medical teams,” said Rizaldy.
This activity is part of the DPRD’s oversight function regarding the performance of the Technical Implementation Unit for Road Traffic and Transportation Infrastructure Management (PPP LLAJ) Region III Garut.
Rizaldy emphasised that such readiness must be matched with the discipline of the travellers. He urged the public to continue to obey traffic rules and follow the instructions of officers in the field.
“If congestion occurs, the public is asked to remain calm and patient. Entrust the arrangements to the Dishub and police officers so that the journey remains safe and smooth,” he said.
Commission IV of the West Java DPRD hopes that with the various preparations that have been carried out, this year’s Lebaran mudik and return flows will run without obstacles. The government, said Rizaldy, is committed to ensuring that the public can celebrate Idul Fitri with their families in safety and comfort.
“May all the public arrive at their hometowns safely and return safely as well,” he stated.
