The West Java Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD) has approved the Draft Regional Regulation (Ranperda) on the Accountability of the 2025 West Java Provincial Budget (APBD) into a Regional Regulation (Perda). The approval was formalised during a DPRD West Java plenary meeting. The decision was read out by the Acting Secretary of the West Java DPRD, Iman Tohidin, and subsequently signed by the DPRD leadership together with West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi. Governor Dedi Mulyadi expressed his appreciation to the DPRD for the various inputs and evaluations provided regarding the implementation of government programmes during the 2025 fiscal year. He added that the suggestions, ideas, and views from the DPRD would serve as evaluation material for the West Java Provincial Government to improve development and regional financial management. West Java Regional Secretary Herman Suryatman stated that various dynamics in APBD management would continue to be discussed jointly with the DPRD. He emphasised that development and public services remain the government’s top priority, particularly basic services such as education and healthcare. Herman added that West Java’s fiscal condition remains stable despite a reduction in central government transfers, noting that the province’s fiscal independence stands at 63 percent.
