West Java DPRD Approves 2025 Budget Accountability Bill into Regional Regulation
The West Java Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) has approved the Draft Regional Regulation (Ranperda) on the Accountability of the Implementation of the 2025 Regional Budget (APBD) of West Java Province, elevating it into a Regional Regulation (Perda).
The approval was ratified during a plenary session of the West Java DPRD. The decision was read out by the Acting Secretary of the West Java DPRD, Iman Tohidin, and subsequently signed by the council leadership together with West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi.
“Taking into account the Regulation Meeting of the Regional House of Representatives of West Java Province on 14 July 2026, it has been decided to establish and approve the Draft Regional Regulation of West Java Province on the Accountability of the Implementation of the Regional Budget of West Java Province for the 2025 Fiscal Year, together with its annexes, as a Regional Regulation,” said Iman in a written statement on Monday (20/7/2026).
Meanwhile, West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi expressed his appreciation to the DPRD for the various inputs and evaluations provided on the implementation of government programmes during the 2025 fiscal year.
“I extend my thanks for the entire series of work stages carried out by the West Java Provincial DPRD in continually evaluating the government’s work programmes, so that they could run up to this point,” said Dedi.
He added that the various suggestions, ideas, and views from the DPRD would serve as evaluation material for the West Java Provincial Government in improving the management of regional development and finances.
“We also express our gratitude to the West Java Provincial DPRD for understanding the conditions of the West Java Provincial Government, including the current state of its regional finances. To that end, we are moving forward together so that financial management runs on time, effectively, and has a strong impact on public welfare,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Regional Secretary of West Java Province, Herman Suryatman, said the various dynamics in APBD management would continue to be discussed jointly with the DPRD. According to him, development and public services remain the regional government’s top priorities.
“The leadership has agreed to optimise the APBD for development and public services, especially basic services such as education and health. The people of West Java must be prosperous and receive justice. And the APBD is the instrument for that,” Herman explained.
Herman added that West Java’s fiscal condition remains sound despite a decline in transfers to the regions (TKD). He considered this an important foundation for keeping development on course.
“Our fiscal independence stands at 63 per cent amid a situation of reduced TKD. Yet West Java remains relatively stable. The proof is that we are still able to carry out various development projects,” he asserted.
