West Java DPRD Approves 2025 Budget Accountability Bill into Regional Regulation

The West Java Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD) has approved the Draft Regional Regulation (Ranperda) on the Accountability for the Implementation of the 2025 Fiscal Year Regional Budget (APBD) into a Regional Regulation (Perda). The approval was formalised during a plenary session at the West Java DPRD building on Tuesday (14/7/2026). Plh Secretary of the West Java DPRD, Iman Tohidin, read out the decision, which was subsequently signed by the West Java DPRD leadership and Governor Dedi Mulyadi. Governor Dedi Mulyadi expressed his gratitude for the suggestions and appreciation provided by the West Java DPRD throughout the 2025 fiscal year. He stated that all input, ideas, and opinions from the DPRD would serve as feedback and evaluation for addressing shortcomings in development management. He also thanked the council for understanding the provincial government’s current condition, including its financial situation, and called for joint steps to ensure future financial management is timely, effective, and has a strong impact on public welfare. West Java Regional Secretary Herman Suryatman noted that the budget disruption would continue to be studied by the regional leadership forum and the DPRD. He stressed that development and public services, especially basic services like education and healthcare, must remain optimal, asserting that the APBD is the tool to ensure the prosperity and justice for the people of West Java.
