West Java DPRD Approves 2025 Budget Accountability Bill into Regional Regulation

The West Java Regional House of Representatives (DPRD Jabar) has approved the Draft Regional Regulation (Ranperda) of West Java Province on the Accountability of the Implementation of the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (P2APBD) for the 2025 fiscal year into a Regional Regulation (Perda).

The approval was made at a plenary session at the West Java DPRD building on Tuesday (14/7/2026). The Acting Secretary of the West Java DPRD, Iman Tohidin, read out the decision confirming the draft regulation into law, which was then signed by the leadership of the West Java DPRD and West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi.

“Having considered the Regional House of Representatives Regulation Meeting of West Java Province on 14 July 2026, it has been decided to approve the Draft Regional Regulation of West Java Province on the Accountability of the Implementation of the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget of West Java Province for the 2025 fiscal year, together with its attachments, into a Regional Regulation,” he said, quoted on Friday, 17 July 2026.

West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi expressed his gratitude for the suggestions and appreciation from the West Java DPRD throughout the 2025 fiscal year up to the present.

“I express my thanks for the entire series of work stages carried out by the West Java Provincial DPRD in continually evaluating the government’s work programmes so that they could run until now,” said KDM, as the governor is familiarly known.

He continued that all suggestions, ideas and opinions from the West Java DPRD would serve as input and evaluation of the various shortcomings in development management.

“We also thank the West Java Provincial DPRD for understanding the conditions of the West Java provincial government, including the current state of its regional finances. Therefore, we must move forward together so that in future, financial management runs on time, effectively, and has a strong enough impact on the welfare of the people,” he said.

West Java Regional Secretary Herman Suryatman said the disruption to the regional budget that has occurred will continue to be studied in the forum of the regional leadership and the West Java DPRD. He made clear that development and public services for the community must remain optimal.

“The leadership agreed to optimise the regional budget for development and public services, especially basic services such as education and health. The people of West Java must be prosperous and receive justice. And the regional budget is the instrument for that,” he said after the plenary session.
