West Java DPRD and Provincial Government Agree on 2025 Budget Accountability Regulation

The West Java Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) has approved the Draft Regional Regulation on the Accountability for the Implementation of the 2025 Fiscal Year Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget, officially enacting it into a Regional Regulation (Perda). The approval was formalised during a plenary session at the DPRD building in West Java on Tuesday, 14 July 2026. Plh Secretary of the West Java DPRD, Iman Tohidin, read out the decision to ratify the draft into a regulation, which was subsequently signed by the leadership of the DPRD and the Governor of West Java, Dedi Mulyadi. West Java Regional Secretary Herman Suryatman stated that any potential budget disruptions would be further reviewed in a forum involving regional leaders and the DPRD. He stressed that regional development and public services must remain optimal. The leadership agreed to optimise the budget for development and public services, particularly basic services such as education and health. Suryatman noted that the West Java Provincial Government has successfully maintained fiscal independence and relatively stable budget conditions, achieving a 63 percent fiscal independence ratio despite reductions in central government transfers.
