West Java DPRD and Provincial Government Agree on 2025 Budget Accountability Regulation
The West Java Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) has approved the Draft Regional Regulation (Ranperda) of West Java Province on the Accountability of the Implementation of the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (P2APBD) for the 2025 fiscal year, elevating it into a Regional Regulation (Perda). The approval was made during a plenary session at the West Java DPRD building on Tuesday, 14 July 2026.
Acting Secretary of the West Java DPRD, Iman Tohidin, read out the decision to enact the Ranperda into a Perda, which was subsequently signed by the leadership of the West Java DPRD and West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi.
“Having considered the Meeting of the Regional House of Representatives of West Java Province on 14 July 2026, which decided to establish and approve the Draft Regional Regulation of West Java Province on the Accountability of the Implementation of the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget of West Java Province for the 2025 fiscal year, together with its annexes, as a Regional Regulation,” he said.
West Java Provincial Secretary Herman Suryatman said that any disruption to the APBD would continue to be assessed in forums between the regional leadership and the West Java DPRD. What is certain, he said, is that development and public services for the community must remain optimal.
“The leadership agrees to optimise the APBD for development and public services, particularly basic services such as education and health. The people of West Java must be prosperous and receive justice. And the APBD is the instrument for that,” he said.
The Provincial Secretary stated that the West Java Provincial Government had succeeded in maintaining fiscal independence and a relatively stable budget. “Our fiscal independence stands at 63 percent despite the reduction in central government transfers (TKD). Yet West Java remains relatively stable. The proof is that we can still carry out various development programmes,” he said.
