West Java deputy governor urges no sweeping of B-plate vehicles during Persib convoy this weekend
Erwan reminded Bobotoh to celebrate in an orderly manner and not repeat incidents that cause harm. The entire community is asked to welcome the moment with gratitude rather than with actions that endanger themselves or others.
‘I urge all residents of Bandung and West Java, wherever you are, bobotoh, to celebrate Persib’s championship with full joy and gratitude; there should be no actions that harm oneself or others,’ Erwan said on Friday (22 May 2026).
He added that if Persib does win the title, the focus of celebrations should be on shared happiness, not venting emotions in the streets.
‘We are already, God willing, champions; let’s be grateful and ensure there are no more destructive actions, no more sweeping actions,’ he asserted.
Erwan specifically highlighted the potential for vehicle sweeping that has often emerged during football euphoria. He reminded people not to stop or damage vehicles simply because they originate from outside the region.
‘The competition is only 90 minutes on the pitch. So there should be no vehicle sweeping, no damage to vehicles on the streets.’
