West Java Deputy Governor Participates in 2026 Economic Census, Urges Public to Provide Accurate Data

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of West Java Province conducted data collection for the 2026 Economic Census (SE2026) on West Java Deputy Governor Erwan Setiawan. This activity is part of the SE2026 implementation, which aims to produce complete, accurate, and up-to-date economic data as a basis for formulating various national and regional development policies. It also serves as a form of support from the West Java Provincial Government for the census organised by BPS. The data collection process was carried out by Field Examination Officer (PML) Ferendra Kusdwinuryanto Saputro and Field Data Collection Officer (PPL) Ria Yunita Emkaen. Head of BPS West Java Province, Margaretha Ari Anggorowati, was also present to accompany the activity. Following the interview, the event continued with a documentation session at the Deputy Governor’s official residence and the placement of an SE2026 sticker to indicate that the data collection had been completed. On this occasion, Erwan expressed his appreciation for the implementation of SE2026. He invited the entire community, especially business actors in West Java, to actively participate and provide correct, complete, and honest data to BPS officers. ‘I invite the people of West Java to play an active role in participating in this Economic Census for the improvement of the economy in West Java in particular and Indonesia in general,’ Erwan said in a written statement on Wednesday (8/7/2026). He conveyed this appreciation during the SE2026 activity at his official residence on Jalan Ciumbuleuit, Cidadap District, Bandung City, on Tuesday (7/7). Through SE2026, BPS West Java Province is committed to presenting quality data that can be used as a basis for planning, evaluation, and economic development policy-making. Support from all levels of society, especially the people of West Java, is expected to realise increasingly accurate statistical data to encourage inclusive and sustainable economic growth in West Java.
