West Java Deputy Governor Encourages MSME Involvement in Every Regional Agenda
Bandung, VIVA – West Java Deputy Governor Erwan Setiawan has expressed appreciation for the collaboration between Kodam III/Siliwangi, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) and TVRI West Java in organising the 2026 Nusantara People’s Festival, which involved dozens of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). According to him, MSME involvement must continue to be part of various activities in West Java, not merely at ceremonial events.
“I would like to thank Kodam III/Siliwangi and also Kadin West Java for collaborating to stage the Nusantara People’s Festival involving 42 MSMEs in West Java,” said Erwan after attending the closing of the 2026 Nusantara People’s Festival at Serka Dedy Unadi Field, Kodam III/Siliwangi, Bandung City, on Sunday (19/7/2026).
He expressed hope that similar synergy can continue across various activities in West Java. The 2026 Nusantara People’s Festival ran for ten days, from 10 to 19 July 2026. The event aimed to drive the growth of local businesses whilst providing a space for community togetherness through a blend of entertainment, sport, culinary offerings and the creative economy.
Meanwhile, Commander of Kodam III/Siliwangi Major General TNI Kosasih expressed hope that the Nusantara People’s Festival can continue to grow in future years by involving even more MSME players.
“Going forward, hopefully it can become bigger and the MSMEs taking part can also grow in number,” he said.
He also conveyed his appreciation to Kadin West Java, the organising committee and all sponsors who supported the festival. In addition, the Commander congratulated the winners of the painting competition and the under-12 football tournament that formed part of the series of events.
“Hopefully this event can improve the achievements of our young people, both in drawing and in football, so that in the future it can produce national footballers,” said Kosasih.
With the conclusion of the 2026 Nusantara People’s Festival, the Commander of Kodam III/Siliwangi officially closed an event that over ten days presented a variety of activities for the community, ranging from MSME bazaars and entertainment to sport and educational activities, serving as a platform to strengthen community bonds whilst driving local economic growth.
