The 2026 West Java Craft Week (PKJB) returns this year, taking place from 26-28 June 2026 at Trans Studio Mall and Trans Convention Centre in Bandung. The event will feature exhibitions of SMEs, fashion, crafts, culinary delights, and West Javanese arts and cultural performances over three full days.

Head of the West Java National Craft Council (Dekranasda), Noneng Komara Nengsih, stated that PKJB will present the best craft products from all 27 regencies and cities in West Java that have passed curation. Each exhibition stand from the regencies and cities will display its superior products, namely the three best products after curation by Dekranasda West Java. These include not only well-known craft products but also the latest creations following current trends to attract younger audiences.

“Everything with potential will have the same opportunity to become the best products representing their regency or city,” Noneng said in a statement on Tuesday (23/6/2026). The products on display are made from seven main raw materials: bamboo, wood, rattan, textiles, glass, metal, and stone, some of which have received national-level awards.

“The products presented are truly the best, so they will certainly not disappoint visitors, especially buyers. We expect buyers from various cities, not only from West Java, and even from abroad,” she added.

This year, several new features will make PKJB 2026 more attractive. The first is Pinton Kriya, a live demonstration of craft-making such as batik that visitors can watch directly, also serving as an interaction space. The second is Saba Kriya, which invites visitors or prospective buyers on educational trips around West Java, introducing regional tourism and workshops at artisan centres.

Other regular activities include a fashion show presenting batik textiles suitable for both special occasions and daily wear. The show will be participated in by representatives of regency and city Dekranasda, regional heads, Bank Indonesia leaders, and the Governor of West Java. The 19th PKJB also continues to facilitate digital transactions for visitors through QRIS.

“Through PKJB, firstly, West Java’s craft products will become more widely known as this serves as a promotional platform for business actors. Secondly, it builds networking, and thirdly, sales will certainly increase,” she concluded.
