West Java Correctional Office Has Not Yet Received Decree to Revoke Indra Kenz's Parole
The West Java Regional Office of the Directorate General of Corrections has not yet received a formal decree from the Ministry of Immigration and Correctional Services regarding the revocation of parole for convict Indra Kesuma, also known as Indra Kenz.
The Head of Development and Services at the West Java Correctional Office, Ishadi Maja Prayitno, stated that the office is still awaiting a decision from the Ministry to bring Indra Kenz back to serve his prison sentence.
“We are still waiting for information from the central government (Ministry of Immigration and Correctional Services) because the revocation of Indra Kenz’s parole must be stipulated in a decree from the centre,” Ishadi said in Bandung on Tuesday.
He emphasised that, as of now, the decree to revoke the parole has not been received by the West Java Regional Office.
Previously, the Inspector General of the Ministry of Immigration and Correctional Services, Rudi Setiawan, recommended that the Directorate General of Corrections withdraw Indra Kenz’s parole following an investigation prompted by findings from the Indonesian Ombudsman at the Cibinong Class IIA Prison on 23 September 2026.
“Indra Kusuma (Indra Kenz)’s parole is recommended to be withdrawn by the Directorate General of Corrections,” he said.
Indra Kenz was granted parole on 24 September 2026, just one day after the Indonesian Ombudsman discovered luxury facilities within the Cibinong Class IIA Prison. Indra Kenz is allegedly involved in the procurement of these luxury facilities and was reportedly occupying a container with an interior resembling a residential house.
He was previously sentenced to 10 years in prison for his involvement in the Binomo fraudulent investment scheme and money laundering. He has served approximately five years of that sentence. During his period of parole, Indra Kenz is required to report to the Bogor Correctional Centre once a month.
