Bandung (ANTARA) - The West Java Provincial Government has implemented a ban on attendees bringing babies to the Sundanese Cultural Parade, which will be held in the city of Bandung on Saturday evening, for safety and health reasons.

The West Java Regional Secretary, Herman Suryatman, advised nursing mothers not to force themselves to attend the parade, which is expected to draw thousands of people, but rather to watch the festivities via the West Java Provincial Government’s YouTube channel.

“We hope for the cooperation of the public. Personal belongings, such as mobile phones, should be kept safe to prevent loss. Prepare your stamina, eat well, and get enough rest before watching,” said Herman in Bandung on Friday.

The 3.5-kilometer parade is scheduled to begin at 7:30 PM and end at 10:00 PM. The main route, starting from Kiara Artha Park, along Jalan Jakarta, Jalan Supratman, and ending at Gedung Sate (Jalan Diponegoro), will be completely closed from 6:00 PM.

“Parking areas will be available in several locations, mainly around Gedung Sate, the Inspectorate Office, the West Java DPRD, the Pusdai Mosque, Bank Mandiri, and the Struggle Monument,” said Dhani.

In addition to traffic management, the West Java Provincial Government has cleaned up illegal banners and organized street vendors along the route to ensure the beauty of the city. Sidewalks have also been beautified for the comfort of spectators.

Although ambulances and medical personnel have been stationed at various points, Herman reminded visitors to be vigilant against potential risks in the large crowd.

“We have prepared ambulances and medical personnel at the parade location. The public is advised to maintain their own safety and the safety of their belongings,” said Herman.
