Timin, Supervisor of the Land Transport Section of the West Jakarta Transportation Sub-Office (Sudinhub), stated that the verification process commenced on Wednesday, 25 February. “For cluster one, verification runs from 25-27 February. Today is therefore the final verification day for candidates in the first cluster,” Timin said when confirmed in Jakarta on Saturday.

The first cluster comprises homecoming travellers heading to Solo, Tasikmalaya, Palembang, Madiun, Sragen, and Cilacap. “For the second cluster verification, covering destinations to Yogyakarta, Kuningan, Lampung, Tegal, Kebumen, Jombang, and Pekalongan, verification runs from 28 February to 2 March 2026,” he explained.

“Verification activities are conducted daily from 08.00 to 16.00,” Timin added. He stated that 802 candidates had completed verification and were confirmed as eligible to participate in the mudik programme. Of these, 270 are heading to Solo, 148 to Sragen, 120 to Madiun, 108 to both Palembang and Cilacap, and 22 to Tasikmalaya.

“Passenger departure for the mudik journey will take place at the National Monument on 17 March 2026,” he said. The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is providing bus transport services for homecoming travellers to a total of 20 cities and districts across various provinces throughout Indonesia. Additionally, the government is facilitating motorcycle transportation using trucks to six designated cities, allowing residents to use their vehicles whilst in their hometowns without needing to ride them from Jakarta.

Syafrin Liputo, Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Office, stated that for the homecoming rush, motorcycles are scheduled to depart on Monday, 16 March 2026, from Pulogadung Terminal. Motorcycles must be handed over by 15 March 2026 at 17.00 WIB, whilst passenger departure is scheduled for 17 March 2026 from the National Monument area.
