West Jakarta Strengthens Toddler Nutrition Intervention to Accelerate Stunting Reduction
The West Jakarta City Government is strengthening nutritional interventions for toddlers through a social service activity involving the business sector, the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), and the community, as part of efforts to improve children’s nutritional status while accelerating the reduction of stunting rates. “Health, nutritional intake, and education are our shared responsibility. Not just the government, but also all stakeholders and the community,” said West Jakarta City Secretary Firmanudin Ibrahim at the launch of the activity. Firmanudin assessed that stunting management requires cross-sector commitment and synergy so that programmes can be sustainable and provide real benefits to the community. “We need to commit, all elements present here, so that these activities are not just social services, but also become a form of synergy between the government, the TNI, and entrepreneurs in West Jakarta that benefits the residents of West Jakarta,” he said. Meanwhile, Prijo Handoko Rahardjo, a representative of PT Cisarua Mountain Dairy Tbk (Cimory Group), expressed the company’s support for the nutritional intervention programme through the provision of nutritional assistance for toddlers. He said Cimory would distribute assistance in the form of eggs and milk for three consecutive months as part of efforts to improve children’s nutritional intake. “We will support this programme for three months by providing nutrition in the form of eggs and milk. The hope is that more parties will continue this programme to realise the Golden Generation 2045,” he stated.
