West Jakarta PPKUKM Facilitates Free Halal Certification for 200 Supervised MSMEs

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The West Jakarta Department of Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, and Small and Medium Enterprises (PPKUKM) is facilitating free halal certification for 200 Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (MSME) actors.

Head of the West Jakarta PPKUKM Department, Iqbal Idham Ramid, explained that the facility is provided through technical guidance (bimtek) conducted from 13-16 April 2026 in eight sub-district areas.

“For the Cengkareng and Kalideres sub-district areas, it took place at RPTRA Utama, Cengkareng Barat, on 13 April 2026. This activity was attended by 25 Jakpreneur participants each,” said Iqbal when confirmed in Jakarta on Thursday.

Meanwhile, for the Tambora and Tamansari areas, it took place at the Tambora Sub-district Hall on 14 April 2026. “Attended by 25 Jakpreneur participants from Tambora and 24 from Tamansari,” said Iqbal.

Next, for the Kebon Jeruk and Kembangan sub-districts, it took place at the Kembangan Hall on 15 April 2026. “Attended by 24 Jakpreneur participants from the Kebon Jeruk Sub-district and 25 from Kembangan,” he continued.

Meanwhile, for the Grogol Petamburan and Palmerah sub-districts, it took place at the Palmerah Sub-district Office Hall on 16 April 2026.

“Attended by 25 Jakpreneur participants from the Grogol Petamburan Sub-district and 26 from Palmerah,” explained Iqbal.

The bimtek aims to provide understanding to Jakpreneur participants about the importance of having halal certificates for their products. Thus, it is hoped that it can guarantee quality and add value to MSME products.

“During the bimtek, participants receive training materials on the halal certification process, what constitutes halal raw materials, production processes, halal provider training, how to obtain halal raw materials, and finally, the issuance of halal certification,” he clarified.

Technically, the bimtek participants receive assistance regarding the preparation of the Halal Product Assurance System (SJPH) Manual documents and inputting participant and product data into the SiHalal application.
