West Jakarta Police Report All Personnel Clear in Drug Testing Programme
Jakarta (ANTARA) – The results of urine tests conducted on 77 personnel from the West Jakarta Metropolitan Police (Polres Jakbar) were all negative for drug use. “A total of 77 personnel participated in the urine tests, and the results were all negative for drug abuse,” said West Jakarta Metropolitan Police Chief, Commissioner Twedi Aditya Bennyahdi, when contacted in Jakarta on Tuesday. Twedi stated that the activity was carried out as one of the efforts to maintain the integrity of the institution and ensure that all personnel are free from drug abuse. “This is a preventive measure and also a form of internal commitment to maintain the institution’s reputation and public trust,” said Twedi. Furthermore, he said that the activity was attended by senior officials and all personnel from the West Jakarta Metropolitan Police. “The inspection was conducted on an impromptu basis,” he said. Twedi added that the urine tests will continue to be carried out periodically and without prior notice. “This is an internal monitoring effort to create a clean and professional working environment,” he said.
