West Jakarta Police Focus Areas for Operation Ketupat 2026
Jakarta — West Jakarta Metro Police are prioritising security for the Lebaran exodus, religious observances, and tourist activities during the implementation of Operation Ketupat Jaya 2026.
“The main focus is on people travelling for Lebaran,” said Deputy Head of West Jakarta Metro Police AKBP Rezi Dharmawan following an operation briefing in Kembangan on Thursday.
Beyond exodus-related activities, the police are focusing on securing places of worship during Eid prayers. “We are also focusing on tourist attractions, shopping centres, and roads. Essentially everywhere,” he said.
Rezi stated that specialist teams have been formed to counter street crime. “We are also collaborating with relevant parties, assisted by the Operations Support Task Force,” he said.
Beyond street crime, Rezi said the task force will focus on monitoring essential commodity prices during the Lebaran period.
In conducting oversight of essential goods, the police are collaborating intensively with the local government.
“We will not tolerate unscrupulous traders inflating prices, especially on essential commodities. We will continue to monitor this closely,” he said.
A total of 1,300 combined personnel from the military, police, and West Jakarta City Government have been prepared to carry out security operations under Operation Ketupat Jaya in the region.
