West Jakarta Police Arrest Two Men Carrying Methamphetamine and Prescription Drugs
The West Jakarta Metro Police have arrested two men during a stationary anti-street crime operation in the Kapuk area, Cengkareng, in the early hours of Tuesday. West Jakarta Metro Police Samapta Unit Chief, Kompol Dr Eko Adi Setiawan, stated that the first suspect, identified as S (46), was found carrying two small packets suspected to be methamphetamine, along with a blue Honda Beat motorcycle. “The second suspect, identified as HP (26), was detained after officers discovered three Eximer prescription pills and a Honda Beat motorcycle,” Eko said when confirmed in Jakarta on Tuesday. He added that both men are currently being held at the West Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Unit for further examination. As is known, the West Jakarta Police have intensified stationary raids to prevent street crime in the area. The operations, which often run from 12.30 a.m. to 3.00 a.m. Western Indonesia Time, target several main roads in West Jakarta. “We inspect suspicious motorcyclists and provide public security and order appeals to the community,” Eko explained.
