West Jakarta Police Arrest Two Individuals with Illegal Drugs During Patrol
West Jakarta Police Department conducted a mobile patrol early Sunday morning, during which two individuals carrying illegal drugs were discovered and apprehended.
Assistant Commissioner Rezi Dharmawan, Deputy Police Chief of West Jakarta Metropolitan Police, stated the patrol commenced at 12:30 AM on Sunday (31 May) and covered areas including Cengkareng, Cengkareng Ring Road, CNI Puri Kembangan, Kapuk Kamal Road, Daan Mogot Road, Arjuna Utara in Palmerah, Hayam Wuruk Road in front of Glodok Tamansari Police Post, and Tubagus Angke Road in front of Tambora Police Station.
“This operation is a preventive measure to avert potential security threats and ensure public safety. We will continue to enhance patrols and raids during high-risk hours to maintain security and stability in West Jakarta,” Rezi told reporters on Sunday (31 May 2026).
Rezi added that the operation is part of police preventive efforts to anticipate street crimes that may occur at night. The two apprehended individuals have been taken for further questioning.
Area patrols and raids will continue regularly as part of the Indonesian National Police’s presence among the community, ensuring security in West Jakarta remains intact.
Key officials from West Jakarta Metropolitan Police Department also participated, including the Head of Planning Section (Pamenwas), Deputy Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit, Deputy Head of the Narcotics Unit, Deputy Head of the Intelligence Unit, Deputy Head of the General Operations Unit, Head of Operations Subsection, and Traffic Unit Officer.
