Jakarta (ANTARA) - The West Jakarta branch of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) generally aims to promote inclusive and sustainable economic growth in the region through five strategic programs.

Firstly, Hilda Kusuma Dewi, Chair of the West Jakarta Kadin, stated in Jakarta after the inauguration of the organization’s new leadership on Wednesday, that they are committed to strengthening the competitiveness of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to enable them to scale up and connect with industrial supply chains and modern markets.

“Secondly, the development of an integrated business ecosystem between trade, industry, services, logistics, and the creative economy,” she said.

Furthermore, she added, they will encourage new investment and entrepreneurship in growth areas such as Puri, Kembangan, and the western corridor of Jakarta.

Next, they will strengthen collaboration between the business community and the city government in organizing popular economic areas such as Tambora, Glodok, and traditional trading centers.

“Finally, ensuring that the economic transformation of West Jakarta is inclusive and sustainable,” she said.

Meanwhile, Diana Dewi, Chair of the Jakarta Provincial Kadin, emphasized that Kadin leadership at the city level plays a strategic role.

“Especially in driving the economy and providing real solutions for the business world,” she said.

Similarly, the Mayor of West Jakarta, Iin Mutmainnah, also emphasized the importance of innovation and increased productivity as part of efforts to improve the economy.

“As well as the creation of quality jobs to strengthen the competitiveness of West Jakarta,” she said.

The event was also attended by representatives from the City Communication Forum (Forkopimko), city government officials, Chairs of Extraordinary Member Associations (ALB), Kadin Indonesia officials, and Chairs of Kadin regions throughout Jakarta.
