West Jakarta holds mini job fair, offering 70 vacancies
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The West Jakarta Regional Job Training Centre (PPKD) provided 70 vacancies in various fields of expertise at a mini job fair held in West Jakarta on Friday. The job fair, organised in the courtyard of the PPKD Jakbar office, involved five companies offering job opportunities. “Currently, we are opening around 70 vacancies,” said the Head of the Implementation and Marketing Unit of PPKD Jakarta Barat, Agung Hadi Saputra, when met at the location on Friday. Agung explained that the mini job fair serves as a strategic platform for job seekers, including training alumni and the general public. From the five participating companies, approximately 70 positions are available across various fields of expertise, including banking, hospitality, creative industries, entertainment, food and beverage, and others. “We certainly hope that this activity can continue consistently because its impact is very much felt by the community, especially residents of DKI Jakarta,” Agung stated. More broadly, Agung said, the effort also aims to reduce the unemployment rate in Jakarta. “Additionally, it is one of the efforts to achieve the goal of reducing the unemployment rate,” Agung added. It is known that, according to the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) in 2025, the open unemployment rate in West Jakarta reached 6.18%, or around 76,680 people out of the total workforce. This figure is dominated by high school and vocational high school graduates.
