West Jakarta Forkopimko Implements Humanistic Approach to Secure Takbiran Night

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Forum for Communication of West Jakarta Leaders (Forkopimko) is prioritising a humanistic and persuasive approach to secure the implementation of Takbiran night. “Carry out your duties with full responsibility, discipline, and professionalism. Prioritise a humanistic, persuasive, and sympathetic approach,” said Metro Jakarta Barat Police Chief Kombes Pol Twedi Aditya Bennyahdi while leading the troop briefing parade in Jakarta on Friday. Twedi also requested that the 760 combined personnel deployed to 209 security points anticipate potential vulnerabilities that could disrupt public safety, including irresponsible convoys. “Anticipate all forms of potential security disturbances, conduct early detection and proactive preventive measures. Optimise traffic management and engineering at vulnerable points,” Twedi stated. The personnel were also urged not to act arrogantly and to uphold the institution’s reputation. “Avoid arrogant and unprofessional actions, safeguard the institution’s reputation, and enhance public trust,” he said. “A total of 760 personnel from the combined TNI-Polri and the West Jakarta Administrative City Government apparatus are deployed for Takbiran night security,” Twedi added. These hundreds of personnel will be distributed to 209 security points in the West Jakarta area, particularly at potential congestion spots and public gathering areas such as shopping centres to tourist zones. Twedi also advised the public to carry out takbiran at the nearest mosque to avoid potential friction on the roads. “If they have planned to go around, they should not leave their RW or sub-district areas. This is to anticipate friction between groups conducting roaming takbir,” Twedi explained.
