West Jakarta City Transportation Service has completed verification of data for participants in the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government’s free mudik programme, confirming the data for 140 Family Heads (KK) in the final cluster. ‘A total of 140 KK underwent verification for the free mudik programme, cluster 3 or the final cluster,’ said Ichwan Hasibuan, Head of the Road Transport Section of the West Jakarta Department of Transportation, when contacted in Jakarta on Saturday. He said the figure reflects verifications conducted from 3-5 March 2026. ‘Registered participants who have been verified, by destination: Wonogiri 53 KK, Semarang 23 KK, Wonosobo 20 KK, Purwokerto 19 KK, Kediri 13 KK, Sidoarjo 7 KK and Malang 13 KK,’ he added. He urged prospective mudik travellers to participate in the DKI Jakarta mudik-free programme in an orderly manner and to maintain their health before departure. ‘I ask all registered participants to be more meticulous in checking administration, departure and return schedules, and other provisions,’ he said. ‘This Free Mudik Programme is prepared to provide ease for residents, while also reducing the use of private vehicles, particularly motorcycles, to lower the risk of accidents during the homecoming and Lebaran return traffic,’ said Syafrin Liputo, Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, in a statement in Jakarta on Sunday. He noted that the provincial government has prepared bus transport services for mudik travellers to 20 cities and regencies across various provinces in Indonesia. In addition, the provincial government is facilitating the transport of mudik motorcycles using trucks to six destination cities, allowing residents to keep using their motorcycles at their hometowns without riding them from Jakarta. Syafrin said that motorcycle departures for the mudik period are scheduled for Monday, 16 March 2026 from Pulogadung Terminal. The handover of motorcycles must be completed no later than 15 March 2026 at 17:00 WIB, while passenger departures are scheduled for 17 March 2026 from the National Monument area (Monas).
