West Jakarta City Government Urges Employees to File 2025 Annual Tax Returns Promptly
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The West Jakarta City Government is urging all civil servants (ASN) and contract-based government employees (PPPK) to file their 2025 annual tax returns promptly.
“I have instructed all ASN and PPPK taxpayers to file their 2025 annual tax returns before the deadline. Make sure to do so before the end of April 2026,” said the Mayor of West Jakarta, Iin Mutmainnah, to reporters in Jakarta, Thursday.
In addition to ASN and PPPK employees, Iin also urged all taxpayers in West Jakarta to complete their annual tax returns.
According to her, filing taxes is a form of compliance with laws and regulations and a contribution to national development.
“The deadline for filing is only two months away, in March and April. I hope that all taxpayers in West Jakarta can comply with these regulations,” she said.
“One of the challenges is the implementation of the Coretax system for the 2025 annual tax returns, which will be filed in 2026,” said Herry.
According to him, the new system is still causing difficulties for some taxpayers, including employees within the West Jakarta City Government, especially in obtaining proof of income.
“We are here to mitigate these problems, address the challenges faced, and resolve them together. Hopefully, the receipt and filing of annual tax returns this year can exceed last year’s achievements,” explained Herry.
He added that, according to regulations, the deadline for filing annual tax returns for individual taxpayers is March 31, 2026, while for corporate taxpayers, there is a grace period until April 30, 2026.
In addition, the West Jakarta Tax Directorate General (DJP) has appointed 147 tax agents from the staff of 56 sub-districts. They have been provided with technical guidance regarding the activation of Coretax and assistance with filing annual tax returns.
“For employees and the public who are still having difficulties, please come to the sub-district for assistance. We also have services available at all Tax Service Offices (KPP) in West Jakarta. So, you don’t have to come to the KPP where you are registered,” said Herry.
