The West Jakarta City Government will coordinate with the police to follow up on the alleged unilateral acquisition of land belonging to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government in RW 03, Kembangan Utara Urban Village, Kembangan District. The move is a response to a public complaint conveyed by the head of RW 03 Kembangan Utara, Junadi, during a community gathering of the West Jakarta Forkopimko at the RW 10 Meruya Utara community hall.

“In 2025, building control measures were already carried out at the location, and a report was filed by the Head of the Parks and Urban Forest Sub-Department with the West Jakarta Police,” said West Jakarta City Secretary Imron Sjahrin in Jakarta on Wednesday.

Imron explained that the West Jakarta City Government and relevant units will re-check conditions on the ground and ensure that legal action proceeds. Coordination with the West Jakarta Police will be strengthened so that enforcement regarding regional assets can proceed according to procedure.

“In the near future, we will hold another meeting to carry out control measures again. The essence is that we will continue to protect the regional government’s assets. Mr RW is asked to help guard the area once it has been brought under control,” Imron said.

Previously, the head of RW 03 Kembangan Utara, Junadi, reported that an individual claiming to be an heir had allegedly acquired land belonging to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government in RT 007, RW 03, Kembangan Utara Urban Village. “The land was originally designated for a park and play facilities, and there is a sign indicating it is an asset of the DKI Jakarta regional government. But an individual claiming to be an heir has asserted ownership of the land. They filled the park area with rubble. Not long after it was filled, several buildings appeared. This is very disturbing for residents,” he said.
