Iin emphasised that official vehicles are purely intended to support official duties, not for personal interests outside of work matters. “This regulation is firm for all civil servant ranks. I remind all civil servants in the West Jakarta administration that official vehicles are strictly prohibited from being used for Eid travel to hometowns or family holidays,” said Iin when confirmed in Jakarta on Wednesday. The ban applies during the period of national holidays and collective leave for Nyepi Day and Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah. This policy is in line with Circular Letter No. 13/SE/2026 issued by the Secretary of DKI Jakarta Province, Uus Kuswanto, on 13 March 2026. “State assets may only be used to support work productivity, not for personal mobility during long holidays,” Iin stressed. Regarding sanctions for employees caught violating this rule, the Jakarta Provincial Inspectorate has full authority to provide detailed explanations. They will determine what disciplinary action to impose according to the level of violation, Iin asserted. This regulation is based on Article 13 of Governor Regulation No. 119 of 2020 on the Management of Official Vehicles, which has been updated through Governor Regulation No. 27 of 2022. In addition to internal regulations of the DKI Provincial Government, this step is also a follow-up to Circular Letter No. 2 of 2026 from the Leadership of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on Corruption Prevention and Gratification Control related to the holiday period. Through this policy, it is hoped that the integrity of civil servants will remain upheld and the use of regional assets will remain targeted and accountable.
