West Jakarta Administration Partners with Universities for Free Health Check Program
The West Jakarta City Government (Pemkot Jakbar) is collaborating with several higher education institutions to conduct socialisations for the Healthy Campus Movement through the ‘Free Health Check (CKG) Goes To Campus’ programme, aimed at increasing health awareness among the youth.
Depika Romadi, the Assistant for Administration and Public Welfare of West Jakarta, stated that students are required not only to excel academically but also to maintain a high level of health awareness. “Currently, there is still a need to improve health awareness among the younger generation. Through the Healthy Campus Movement and CKG Goes To Campus, we want to build collaborations with universities to create a healthy generation,” Depika said in Jakarta on Tuesday.
According to Depika, universities play a strategic role in supporting the success of this programme, which can be realised through internal policies and the active involvement of the entire academic community. Consequently, the West Jakarta administration is calling on university leaders to oversee the programme to ensure its impact is tangible.
“We need support from rectors and university leaders to facilitate and encourage students, lecturers, and educational staff to make maximum use of this Free Health Check programme,” Depika added.
The results of the free health screenings are expected to serve as an initial database for participants to undertake preventive measures, follow-up examinations, or medical treatment at available official health facilities. Through strong synergy, Depika is optimistic that West Jakarta can become a benchmark for developing healthy educational areas within the DKI Jakarta Province.
Representatives from various prominent universities in the West Jakarta area, including Trisakti University, Tarumanagara University, Esa Unggul University, and Mercu Buana University, attended the programme’s socialisation event.
