West Jakarta Administration Ensures No Padel Court Construction Activities in Meruya
The West Jakarta Administration, through the Sub-department of Creation, Spatial Planning, and Land (Sudin CKTRP), has ensured that there will be no construction activities for a padel court in RW 10, Meruya Utara Village, until the entire licensing process, including the Building Approval (PBG), is officially completed.
“We are following up on public complaints by summoning the owner of the padel facility to discuss the PBG application,” stated the Acting Head of West Jakarta Sudin CKTRP, Ridwan Arafah, when confirmed in Jakarta on Wednesday (2/9).
This statement follows a meeting held by the West Jakarta Sudin CKTRP with the owner of the padel court facility in RW 10, Meruya Utara. The meeting was also attended by the Jakarta Asset Management Center (JAMC) Unit of the Jakarta Regional Asset Management Agency (BPAD) and the West Jakarta Regional Asset Management Sub-department.
Ridwan explained that six points were agreed upon during the meeting. First, the Cooperation Agreement (PKS) dated 22 December 2025 covers an area of approximately 1,860 square metres. However, site inspections revealed that the utilisation or structures at the location exceed the area specified in the PKS.
“Second, an application for the additional area has been submitted, and the process of amending the PKS or an addendum is currently underway, including the requirement for an assessment of the additional area,” said Ridwan.
“Fourth, due to the change in the court area, the owner has been directed to re-apply for technical recommendations from the Department of Youth and Sports as one of the requirements for processing the PBG for the padel court,” Ridman added.
Fifth, the building owner has been instructed not to carry out any activities until the licensing and PBG processes are complete. Sixth, the Sudin/Sector CKTRP will conduct regular monitoring to ensure there is no construction activity at the site.
“We have placed red seals as a form of temporary suspension. Monitoring will continue to ensure there is no activity until all permits are complete,” Ridwan emphasised.
Officers have installed a red banner stating that the building is subject to a permanent halt (Sealed) and the installation of a CKTRP Line.
“We are re-sealing the padel building located at Kavling DKI, Jalan Penyelesaian Tomang IV, Blok 53, RT 003 RW 010, Meruya Utara Village,” revealed the Acting Head of West Jakarta Sudin CKTRP, Ridwan Arafah, when confirmed in Jakarta on Thursday (27/8).
According to him, during the sealing period, his office has requested the building owner to cease all work activities before official permits are issued.
In addition to the re-sealing, Ridwan continued, his office has also summoned the padel court owner regarding the PBG application process.
“We will summon the owner again. We have also invited the Asset Sub-department and the Jakarta Asset Management Center of the BPAD,” Ridwan concluded.
