West Bandung's Growth Spurs Economic Activity and Business Space Demand
The development of residential areas in West Bandung is beginning to drive growth in economic activity and demand for business space. The increasing number of residents, area facilities, and connectivity are causing demand for commercial and office space to grow as well.
This condition is visible in the Kota Baru Parahyangan area, which is now inhabited by around 4,500 households. The growth of the area is also encouraging the development of new business space, one of which is Wangsakerta Business Loft, which targets the office sector’s needs.
Kota Baru Parahyangan Director Ryan Basali said the development of business space is being carried out to accommodate the needs of business players amid increasing activity in the area. Wangsakerta Business Loft has access of about 1.5 kilometres from the main gate of Kota Baru Parahyangan.
“Its location, which is only about 1.5 kilometres from the area’s main gate, provides ease of mobility for business players and customers alike,” he said on Monday (10/8/2026).
According to Ryan, the growth of economic activity is also supported by the presence of various facilities that are already operational, ranging from educational institutions, the Town Centre, recreational areas, to public facilities. The concentration of these facilities forms a consumer market within the area while increasing business activity.
From a property perspective, the value of the Kota Baru Parahyangan area is said to be growing by more than 8 percent per year. This growth is supported by area development, the addition of facilities, the increasing number of residents, and improving connectivity.
“The growth in property value at Kota Baru Parahyangan, which reaches more than 8 percent per year, shows that this area continues to develop into a prospective investment destination,” he said.
Ryan assessed that this development creates a need for a more complete business ecosystem, including office and business space. The presence of new commercial space is expected to keep pace with the growth of economic activity formed by the area’s development.
“All these factors create a healthy ecosystem for the growth of business activity while maintaining long-term property investment value,” he said.
He said Wangsakerta Business Loft is also expected to support companies’ operational needs as well as business activity in the area. The development of this business space is one response to the increasing economic activity along with the growth of Kota Baru Parahyangan.
“We are optimistic that Wangsakerta Business Loft will become one of the new centres of business activity in Kota Baru Parahyangan,” he said.
