West Bandung Regent Optimistic Jazz Concert Will Boost Local Economy

West Bandung Regent Jeje Ritchie Ismail is optimistic that the TP Jazz Universe Greatest Movie Soundtrack concert will have a positive impact on the economy of West Bandung Regency. The music event combines music, culture and community.

The jazz concert, presented by TP Jazz Management in collaboration with Kota Baru Parahyangan, will be held on 4 September 2026 at the Mason Grand Ballroom, Mason Pine Hotel. A number of musicians, including Dwiki Dharmawan, Dira Sugandi, Dirly Dave, Rimar Calista and Sandy Sondoro, will entertain the audience with jazz interpretations of iconic songs from national and international films.

“We certainly welcome this jazz concert. The event will undoubtedly have an impact on the economic sector in West Bandung,” Jeje said when confirmed on Friday (14/8/2026).

According to Jeje, the presence of such a music concert in Kota Baru Parahyangan will affect various creative economy sectors in the region. Jazz enthusiasts from outside the area are expected to come and stay overnight, as well as enjoy local culinary offerings and micro, small and medium enterprises in West Bandung.

Moreover, Jeje and West Bandung Vice Regent Asep Ismail have a programme to advance the creative economy in the region. The concert is seen as one way to realise economic development in the area.

“With this event, jazz fans from outside the region, for instance, will come to West Bandung. They can travel around here, eat here and stay overnight in West Bandung,” Jeje said.

Director of PT Belaputera Intiland, Ryan Brasali, said the collaboration with TP Jazz Management is in line with the Community Based Development philosophy that underpins the development of Kota Baru Parahyangan. The development of the area does not only focus on the physical aspect, but also on creating spaces that encourage social interaction and the growth of community life.
