Meulaboh (ANTARA) - The West Aceh Regency Government (Pemkab Aceh Barat), through the Civil Registry and Population Records Office (Disdukcapil), is providing facilities for processing lost civil registry documents due to the hydrometeorological disaster in 2025. “In addition to in-person services at the office, we are also maximising online-based services through WhatsApp messages at the number 0823-7008-6400,” said the Head of the Population Registration Services Division of the West Aceh Regency Disdukcapil, M Yani Effendi, to ANTARA in Meulaboh on Wednesday. He stated that these services are intended to expedite access for residents affected by natural disasters, especially those in remote locations or who have difficulty reaching the district office in the regency capital. The mechanism for processing lost documents, he explained, involves residents simply sending the required data through the available service number, including a certificate of loss and photocopies of documents via WhatsApp. The processed documents will then be sent back in PDF format. For residents who come directly to the office but do not bring a certificate, he continued, staff will verify village data to confirm disaster-affected status before reprinting documents without burdensome procedures. Residents can also access civil registry administration (adminduk) services through the WhatsApp number 0823-7008-6400. “This number only serves text messages and is available 24 hours a day, not for telephone calls,” said M Yani Effendi.
