West Aceh Police Name Two Suspects in Stunting Fund Corruption Case

The Corruption Crime Unit of the West Aceh Police Criminal Investigation Unit has named two suspects in an alleged corruption case involving the Family Planning Operational Assistance Programme (BOKB) for the Healthy Kitchen to Overcome Stunting (DASHAT) activities for the 2023 fiscal year.

The Head of Criminal Investigation of the West Aceh Police, AKP Deno Wahyudi, stated that both suspects have been interrogated to further investigate the budget management and the use of BOKB funds, which were sourced from the 2023 Non-Physical Special Allocation Fund (DAK).

“We have also interrogated the two individuals previously identified as suspects in this case,” Deno told reporters in West Aceh on Thursday.

The two suspects are identified by the initials TJ, a retired civil servant who previously served as the Acting Head of the West Aceh Department of Women’s Empowerment, Child Protection, and Family Planning in 2023, and SW, an active civil servant within the same department.

The alleged corruption case is suspected to have resulted in state financial losses amounting to Rp658.17 million.

“The interrogation of the suspects was conducted to deepen the statements and facts related to the case,” he said.

He added that investigators are still delving into the matter and will follow up on all evidence obtained in accordance with legal provisions.

Deno emphasised that the investigation process is ongoing and that investigators may uncover new facts before the case file is forwarded to the next legal stage.
