West Aceh Government Presents Videotron Investment to Business Actors
The West Aceh Regency Government has presented an investment and cooperation plan for public publication and information services for government agencies and business actors through an outdoor media facility (videotron) owned by PT Hikmah Cakra Mulia (HCM).
Head of the West Aceh Communication, Informatics, and Coding Service (Kadis Kominsa), Dedi Mulianda, stated in Meulaboh on Thursday that the cooperation includes full investment from PT HCM for the procurement and management of the videotron facility in West Aceh Regency. He said the presence of this videotron will be able to increase locally-generated revenue (PAD) and boost business promotion and the community economy.
According to him, PT HCM, which is an affiliate of Perum LKBN ANTARA, will fully invest in the construction and management of the videotron. The cooperation scheme includes the division of broadcast time allocation for the regional government, ANTARA, and special slots for commercial advertising.
Through this investment cooperation, the West Aceh Regency Government is targeting several positive impacts, including encouraging an increase in locally-generated revenue (PAD) through retribution and advertising tax, accelerating information digitalisation, and modernising regional publication media. Furthermore, all videotron facilities will become the full property of the West Aceh Regency Government after the two-year cooperation period ends.
Dedi Mulyanda said the stakeholders and agencies present responded positively to the cooperation plan. Currently, prospective partners are coordinating with their respective leaders to determine the amount of PMO to be submitted to PT HCM.
The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the West Aceh Regency Government and PT HCM is scheduled for August 2026, followed by physical construction in the same month. The videotron is planned to be built in the strategic area of Simpang Kisaran (near the hospital area) and is targeted to operate in October 2026, serving as a special gift for the Meulaboh City Anniversary.
