Welcoming Prabowo, King of Jordan: Ramadan Mubarak, My Beloved Brother
AMMAN, KOMPAS.com - The King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein, wished “Ramadan Mubarak” as he received President Prabowo at the Basman Palace, Amman, Jordan, on Wednesday (25/2/2026) afternoon local time.
Abdullah II said he was pleased that President Prabowo was visiting his country again, this time during the holy month of Ramadan.
“I welcome you during this holy month of Ramadan. Ramadan Mubarak, my beloved brother. And I am very happy that you have returned to this country again,” said King Abdullah II during the bilateral meeting on Wednesday.
In response, President Prabowo also conveyed the same greetings to King Abdullah II, who has been his friend since their youth.
Not only that, President Prabowo also expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome given by King Abdullah II.
It is known that the welcome had even begun when the presidential aircraft arrived in Jordanian airspace.
Prabowo was escorted directly by two F16 fighter jets from the Jordanian Air Force.
Prabowo also said he was happy to be able to return to Jordan, a Middle Eastern country that he considers his second home.
“It is always a great pleasure for me to come to my second home here. We have known each other for decades, I think. You look younger, fitter than most of us,” said Prabowo.
