Welcoming New Students, UNM Introduces MOKA-SERASI to Produce Superior Graduates
Universitas Nusa Mandiri (UNM), as a Digital Business Campus, has organised a series of New Student Campus Life Introductions (PKKMB) under the theme MOKA-SERASI. The Academic Activity Orientation period (MOKA) took place on Saturday (19/09/2026), followed by the Inspiration Seminar (SERASI) held at the UNM Margonda campus, Depok, West Java, on Sunday (20/09/2026).
Representing the Rector of UNM, Prof. Dr Dwiza Riana, the Vice Rector II for Non-Academic Affairs, Arif Hidayat, attended to welcome the 2026 cohort. This orientation serves as a vital first step before students officially enter the academic and lecture environment.
During the SERASI session, students gained direct insights from ten successful alumni who have built careers and businesses through a talkshow session. Arif emphasised that the presence of these alumni is a tangible manifestation of the success of the university’s educational process.
“The presence of alumni is clear evidence that UNM graduates are already shining in both the industrial and business worlds,” Arif stated during the event on Sunday.
He also encouraged new students to use the track records of their seniors as motivation to continue innovating. Furthermore, Arif reminded students to balance academic achievement with character development.
“We hope that students do not only pursue high GPAs, but are also active in organisations and hone their soft skills. This campus is your platform to collaborate and create real works,” he added.
In addition to the alumni talkshow, the event featured a digital business seminar to boost entrepreneurial spirit. This inspirational session was led by content creator Admathir Muhammad (@matirnomatters) and the Founder and CEO of PT Arlend Growth Consulting, Arlend Setiawan.
The series of events was further enlivened by the Student Organisation Expo (Ormawa Expo), which introduced various extracurricular activities. This moment was also coupled with a declaration of commitment by students to reject drugs, bullying, violence, radicalism, and the spread of fake news.
“Through this comprehensive briefing, we hope that new students can build a strong mental foundation. The hope is that upon graduation, they will not only be ready to face the challenges of the professional world but will also be able to bring positive and tolerant change to society,” said Arif.
