Yayasan Indonesia Setara (YIS) is collaborating with Majelis Taklim Darratun Nasihin to hold a charitable programme for communities in need in the Thousand Islands Regency. Under the theme ‘Reaching the Far, Strengthening Brotherhood’, the event created a warm atmosphere of togetherness while reinforcing the values of brotherhood during the holy month of Ramadan. The programme not only focused on material assistance but also provided mental and spiritual strengthening for the beneficiaries. In addition to the aid, the event included sermons and communal iftar gatherings that added to the solemnity of the atmosphere. YIS founder, Sandiaga Uno, stated that Ramadan is a momentum to bring blessings through togetherness. “This event creates a serene religious atmosphere through communal iftar, while also easing the burden of 100 mustahik through worthy aid,” he said in a written statement on Friday (20/3). He added that the activity also serves as a means to strengthen the solidarity of the ummah. “In addition, spiritual strengthening through sermons is an important part in building mental resilience and happiness ahead of Eid,” he said. Separately, the Chair of Majelis Taklim Darratun Nasihin, Setiawati, said that this event is a manifestation of concern during the month of Ramadan, which is rich in the values of sharing. “We hope that the grocery aid provided to 100 beneficiaries can ease their needs and become a blessing for all parties,” she stated. Meanwhile, the Mentor of Majelis Taklim Darratun Nasihin, Noval Abuzarr, expressed appreciation for the established collaboration. According to him, the event provides real impact, not only in terms of material but also in tightening silaturahmi and fostering the spirit of mutual cooperation. “This event strengthens the values of togetherness in the community, especially during the holy month of Ramadan. We hope that the synergy between the foundation, the taklim assembly, and the community can continue in the future,” he said.
