Welcoming 27th Anniversary, Cilegon City Government Holds Istigasah and Joint Prayer
As part of the 27th anniversary celebrations, the Cilegon City Government held an istigasah and joint prayer at Cilegon City Square on Thursday, 23 April 2026, as an effort to strengthen religious values while seeking blessings for the area’s advancement.
Cilegon Mayor Robinsar conveyed his appreciation for the community’s enthusiasm in attending the event. According to him, the presence of residents demonstrates a spirit of togetherness in welcoming the city’s 27th anniversary.
“Thank you for the enthusiasm of the Cilegon City community who attended this event. May this momentum of Cilegon City’s anniversary bring new energy for the city’s progress and the welfare of its people,” he stated.
Robinsar explained that the istigasah and joint prayer is one of the key agendas in the series of Cilegon City anniversary events. In addition to serving as a forum to strengthen bonds, the activity provides an opportunity to offer prayers for the security and blessings of Cilegon City.
“Tonight’s event is an istigasah in commemoration of Cilegon City’s 27th anniversary. At the age of 27, Cilegon City has entered a more mature phase and is ready to step forward more boldly,” he clarified.
In addition to religious activities, Robinsar said the Cilegon City Government has prepared various entertainment and social programmes for the community. “We have prepared various activities for the people, from religious events to public entertainment. May the activities we carry out provide benefits for the community and bring happiness on Cilegon City’s anniversary,” he added.
At the end of his speech, Robinsar hoped that Cilegon City would continue to grow into a more advanced, safe, and prosperous region. According to him, regional progress is not measured solely by physical development but also by the spiritual strength and community togetherness.
“May Cilegon City in the future become increasingly advanced and its people more prosperous. We want development to go hand in hand with the religious values that serve as the strength in building Cilegon City moving forward.”
