Weekly Stock Exchange: IHSG Rises 6.14 Percent

The Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) closed higher over the week or period of 6-10 April 2026 compared to the previous week. According to data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI), the weekly index rose 6.14 percent.

The IHSG closed at the level of 7,458.49, an increase from the position of 7,026.78 in the previous week. The strengthening of the index aligns with the rise in the Indonesia Stock Exchange’s market capitalisation. “The BEI market capitalisation also experienced an increase of 7.18 percent to Rp13,189 trillion from Rp12,305 trillion in the previous week,” as quoted from the official BEI statement on Saturday, 11 April 2026.

The average daily frequency and transaction value of the IHSG increased this week, with a rise also occurring in the daily transaction volume on the exchange compared to the previous week. The highest increase occurred in the average daily transaction volume on the BEI, which rose 24.81 percent to 32.28 billion shares from 25.87 billion shares last week.

Meanwhile, the average daily transaction value rose 17.26 percent to Rp17.32 trillion from Rp14.77 trillion in the previous week. The average daily IHSG transaction frequency this week also increased by 15.05 percent from 1.78 million transactions last week to 2.05 million transactions.

Foreign investors at the close of trading on Friday, 10 April 2026, recorded a net purchase value of Rp193.87 billion. Meanwhile, for the whole year of 2026, foreign investors have recorded a net sale or outflow of Rp37.14 trillion.

On the last trading day of the exchange or Friday, 10 April 2026, the opening of BEI trading was marked by the listing of the initial public offering or IPO of PT BSA Logistics Indonesia Tbk (WBSA) on the BEI Development Board. WBSA became the first listed company on the BEI in 2026, with total funds raised amounting to Rp302.40 billion.
