Jakarta (ANTARA) - A series of criminal incidents occurred in Jakarta over the past week, ranging from Umrah pilgrimage fraud to problematic wedding organisers (WO).

- Metro Jaya Police ready to investigate fund flows in Hananiya Group Umrah case
The General Criminal Investigation Directorate of Metro Jaya Police has affirmed its readiness to thoroughly investigate the fund flows in the alleged investment and Umrah travel fraud carried out by PT Hasanah Tamma Internasional, also known as Hananiya Group. Metro Jaya Police Commissioner Iman Imanuddin stated that police are now targeting several parties who received funds from the pilgrims, ranging from promotions by famous influencers to the tracing of the main suspect’s assets to recover victim losses.
- Motorcycle thief in Tebet used replica phones as collateral
Police have uncovered a case of fraud and motorcycle theft involving an individual with the initials SFX on Jalan Tekukur, Tebet, South Jakarta. The perpetrator used two replica mobile phones as collateral before fleeing with the victim’s vehicle. “The individual had prepared a black bag containing two mobile phones, specifically two replicas: an iPhone 17 Pro Max and a Samsung Z-Fold,” said Tebet Police Chief AKP Ischak during a press conference at the Tebet Police Station, South Jakarta, on Tuesday.
- Police pursue etomidate drug supplier in North Jakarta entertainment venue
The Narcotics Unit of the North Jakarta Metro Police is pursuing the owner and supplier of etomidate narcotics discovered at the Alexa Suites and Lounge nightclub in the Penjaringan area, North Jakarta. “Investigators have identified the owner of the illegal goods and are hunting for the supplier suspected of being the source of narcotics distributed under the guise of vape products,” said North Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Unit Head AKBP Ari Galang Saputro in Jakarta, Saturday.

East Jakarta Police Criminal Unit Head AKP Bayu Kurnandum explained that victims first learned of the WO services through advertisements posted on Instagram.
- Police state death of young woman in Tanjung Priok is suspicious
The Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the North Jakarta Police, AKBP Awaludin Kanur, assessed that the death of a young woman in a boarding house on Jalan Ganggeng 6, Sungai Bambu, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, on Friday (5/6) around 02:00 WIB, was suspicious. “This case is still being investigated and developed; the death is indeed considered unnatural,” said Awaludin in Jakarta, Saturday.

The Jakarta High Prosecutor’s Office (Kejati DKI) has named and detained a new suspect, identified by the initials LHL, as the Beneficial Owner of PT RMS, in connection with the alleged corruption case involving fictitious credit distribution through the fintech platform KoinWorks for the 2020–2024 period. Jakarta High Prosecutor’s Office Legal Information Head, Dapot Dariarma, explained in Jakarta on Wednesday that LHL is an entrepreneur from Malang, East Java, who is strongly suspected of manipulating credit applications to a bank in Jakarta via the KoinWorks platform.

Police have successfully arrested a suspect with the initials D, the main executor of a gang specialising in gold necklace snatching that frequently operates in the West Jakarta area. Tamansari Metro Police Chief Kompol Bobby M. Zulfikar stated in Jakarta on Friday that the suspect, who had been on the wanted list (DPO), was apprehended in the Penjaringan area, North Jakarta, on Thursday (4/6) afternoon.
